Carrier connections: what leaves with the parcel, and what comes back.
When you pack an order on your own floor, the carrier needs to know what is in the box and where it is going, and you need a label and a tracking number back before the parcel leaves the dock. The carrier connections are listed below. If yours is not there, request it below the questions.

What the connection carries
What has to pass between your packing bench and a carrier.
01
Parcel details out
A label should describe what was packed, not what was ordered: the carton actually used, its weight and dimensions, the ship-to address and the service the order calls for. When the packer swaps to a bigger box or splits the order into a second parcel and that change never reaches the label request, the label no longer matches what ships.
02
Labels and tracking back
The label has to come back to the bench that is packing the order, and the tracking number has to come back to the order, for every parcel in it, so the sales channel can be updated and the customer told. Keep track of labels you print but do not use, so they are not mistaken for parcels that shipped.
03
A record of what shipped
Keep the carton, weight and parcel count with each order as packed. When a shipping charge is questioned, or a customer says a parcel is missing, that record is what you compare against, order by order, instead of reconstructing it from memory.
Questions
Carrier connection questions.
My sales channel already sells me labels. Why connect a carrier to the warehouse?
It depends on where the parcel's details are settled. If the box, the weight or the number of parcels can change at the packing bench, a label bought after packing is the one that matches what ships. If you send one item per order in one standard box, that matters less. Check your channel's own rules before you move label buying off it.
Why does the carrier invoice differ from what the label cost?
Ask the carrier which details it billed on and compare them with the parcel as you packed it: carton, weight, address and service. If the carton is often larger than it needs to be, try the free box size calculator before the label is printed.
What if the carrier I use is not listed?
Use the request button below these questions, or click any card marked Request. In the request, name the carrier, the services you use (for example ground, express or international), and anything unusual, such as several parcels per order or shipping from more than one building. Requests go to our team.
